However\, implementing it yourself is complex and error-prone. Keycloak is a popular open-source Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution that makes it easier to protect your applications — whether you’re securing a small app or running high-scale production systems. \nWe’ll show how to integrate Keycloak with your Java app\, with a concrete example of securing your REST API in Quarkus. You’ll see how to protect your endpoints\, enforce authentication and authorization\, and ensure that your application is robust against common security threats. Once the app is secured\, ensuring that the IAM system works reliably and behaves correctly in real-world deployments is essential.
