The Craft Accelerator workshop will focus on how to think about environmental sustainability as a natural part of product design, production and business. Participants will look at their own product or service from the perspective of materials, function, lifespan, waste, packaging, production, use and communication towards customers.
The workshop will combine expert input, practical examples, teamwork and moderated discussion. The goal is not to create the perfect “eco product”, but to find a concrete and realistic step that each participant can implement in their business — whether it concerns material choice, waste reduction, packaging modification, extending product life, better handling of leftovers or more honest communication of sustainability.
Each participant will leave with their own action step and a clearer idea of where their product has the most room for improvement.
Lecturers
Jitka Hvězdová has long been dedicated to connecting design, sustainability, material innovations, and practical entrepreneurship. She is behind the Plastenco design studio and the Reborn Design eco-platform, in which she seeks new ways to use materials, waste, and local resources in contemporary design.
Jan Kulhánek is a designer and ecodesign expert. He focuses on sustainable product design, working with materials, and assessing the impacts of products throughout their entire life cycle. In his work, he connects design thinking with environmental responsibility and practical tools that help make better decisions in product development.
